GEAR SWAP

MEC Gear Swap is all about gathering the community's "gear heads" and promoting the reuse and recycling of used gear! MEC invites any co-op members to register to have a table for $5-$10 and sell or swap their no longer needed gear. In addition MEC brings a huge collection of their own used or warrantied gear to sell at awesome deals!

Gear Swap 2009 A Success!

Thanks to all who came out to Gear Swap 2009 today! The day went off without a hitch, the only downside was that everything was snapped up in the first half an hour! With over 375 people into the James Bay Community Center in the first forty-five minutes, we had great turnout and people got some amazing details. To provide feedback or any suggestions on how we can improve our swap for next year, please email lkelsey@mec.ca.

Please remember and note all items at Gear Swap are a FINAL SALE. The Rock Solid Guarantee does NOT apply to the gear purchased at the swap. Thank you!

Selling Your Own Gear

WHAT

Members can sell or swap their own gear at Gear Swap by booking a table via email at lkelsey@mec.ca before October 5th. By booking a table, we’re providing you with a table & chair(s). How you deal with cash and payment at your specific table is up to you.

WHERE

Location is TBA. More information to come in August.

HOW MUCH

  • $5 for 4ft (1/2 table)
  • $10 for 8ft (full table)

Payment information will be emailed out when registration occurs.
